Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 31. Frank Catrone put in an appearance this morning and stated that the entire William G. Helis, Jr. string would be assembled here before the end of the week. The string will, in all probability, number 27 head. Trainer Monte Sims registered the first claim of the meeting on opening day when he acquired Attention Mark for the account of David G. Neuman. This marked the first time that the son of Attention had left the Bobanet stable. F. E. Fitzgerald this morning supervised the shipment of the Mark Leach horses to Detroit. Included in the string were Roy O., Fraternal, Storm Bird, Mr. Mac and Evelyn L. Among the arrivals from Garden State was owner-trainer Carl Hanford with Moras Choice, Dark Venture, Little Hope, Denllfrice and Tricia Fiske. Nick Shuk, who opened the meeting by riding four winners, has been engaged by trainer D. B. Midkiff to handle Endurable for the Circle M Farm in the week-end Brandywine Handicap. A division of the Greentree Stable, under trainer George Poole, is scheduled to arrive at Delaware Park today for a meeting-long campaign. Greentree has always been well represented in local stakes and it seems likely that the shipment will be a fairly classy one. The first division of the Brookfield Farm stable arrived yesterday morning and numbered four head. Those in the group were Is tan, Imamazed, Imyourson and Influent. r Fernando Fernandez, veteran Cuban rider, and agent "Chico" Marin checked in from Garden State Park and will do * *X i the bulk of the riding for owner-trainer John L. McKnight. The veteran reinsman, Jack Skelly, was an arrival from New Jersey, accompanied by agent Eddie Litzenberger. Richard "Whitey" Nixon is due to receive Baluster and Ode from New York. Trainer Horatio A. Luro is sending the pair here for competition. I Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords Post Card will he a starter in Saturdays 0,000 Brandy-wine Handicap and will have the saddle services of Sam Boulmetis. Acting for Sylvester W. Labrot, Jr., trainer Jimmy Rowan this morning sold the plater, Recluse, to J. H. C. Forbes. Palatine Stables Chicle II. and Pisgah Road arrived from farm quarters to be placed back in training by J. H. "Slim" Pierce. Trainer Richard "Whitey" Nixon reports that the good sprinter, Prepared, has been sent to George Byrnes Kennet Square Farm to be turned out due to tendon trouble. He will be out for remainder of the year. Miss D. A. Palmers Kontinu and Prelma have been returned to Danny Sheas Maryland farm for a bit of refreshening. C.
