H. Silver; bred by J. Sher. WENT TO POST— 3:59. OFF AT 3:59J EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won ridden out; second and third driving. NO NO ANNA went to the front early, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch and was ridden out thereafter to increase the advantage. TEN GALLON HAT, a sharp factor from the beginning, finished willingly under brisk handling, but could not threaten the top one, although much the best of the others. DISICAL raced evenly to the stretch, but failed to rally when set down in the drive. FIVE FIFTEEN saved ground throughout and had no excuse. CORKY PAUL was never a serious factor after beginning alertly. SALS PRIDE had no mishap. FIREMENOT failed to stay after showing early speed. TURKEY CALL was outrun. MISS CROMA, fractious at the post, unseated her rider, was returned to the paddock for a substitute jockey, then began fast, but tired after three-eighths. SHANTY GRUB had a rough trip. CLEANED, forwardly placed from the beginning, raced by MISS MICARIDA when hard urged through the stretch and won going away. MISS , MICARIDA assumed an early lead, made the pace to the last eighth, but could not withstand the winner. KING PINE lacked early speed, but finished fast when sent between horses during the stretch run. DONWARD raced evenly and had no excuse. MISS TEXAS saved ground throughout, but could not better her position when set down in the drive. STEADY BEAU gave a good effort and had no mishap. MAIN BET was never dangerous. LIBERTY A. had a rough trip. WAYNE L. tired. LADY BELL began slowly. TWEEN MEALS was through early. Steady Beau claimed by H. W. Kelleher. FLORIZAN SAM, outrun to the stretch, responded readily when sent to the outside for the drive and was up in the last strides. TIME ETERNAL was hustled to the front early, made the pace until near the finish, but could not hold the top one. PROMISE, a keen factor from the beginning, gave a good effort and had no mishap. MONFALON could not better her position when hard urged through the stretch. BULL MAN had no excuse. JATAK faltered during the stretch run after displaying early speed. MR. BULL was outrun. SIR FELIX went to the front early, opened a clear advantage before reaching the stretch, then responded to urging and held FAGA-LA safe. The latter, a keen factor from the beginning, came out slightly for the stretch run and closed gamely, but could not get to the winner. BY DEGREES saved ground throughout, but could not get to the leaders when set down through the stretch. PALLIS ROYAL began slowly and was never dangerous. LEADING MAN was sent into command soon after the start, saved ground while maintaining a good lead to the stretch, then responded to brisk urging and held DUKE BOSWELL safe. The latter, never far back, finished strongly under punishment, but could not reach the winner while easily best of the others. BOOTS BEST failed to respond when set down for the stretch run. "MR. EDD began fast, but dropped back soon after the break and never seriously threatened. . WHIRL OFF made a mild bid nearing the stretch, then tired. EXCEL LAD broke slowly and raced wide. VIXEN ROSE, forwardly placed from the outset, moved into command when settled "in the stretch, then held on gamely to withstand WINTAG. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, was taken out slightly for the drive, closed fast under hard urging, but could not overtake the winner. IDA C. was reserved for a half mile, then finished strongly in a sharp effort. FINE ART engaged BLACK WING to the stretch, then faltered. The latter assumed command early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then tired, appearing short, and probably needed his race.
