OFF AT 2:06 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. DARBY DAMOUR drew clear steadily I through the first half mile and was held together nicely while lasting over GALLALAD. The latter broke badly, improved his position gradually and was wearing down the top one. FAIR MARK, unhurried early, responded through the stretch and closed willingly. REBORN, far back while trailing for a half mile, closed with a belated rush. FIRST SALVO displayed speed, but failed to respond. BO MOWLEES mild rally was insufficient. PHOEBE S. held the runner-up position for more than a half mile and faltered. EAST IS EAST weakened early. CALL VIOLENT quit. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. CASEIN moved into serious contention on the turn and continued his rally from the outside to wear down MADE IT. The latter set the pace under rating and gave way while drifting out slightly during the final stages. PRINCE RANSOM was always formidable and saved ground to no avail. ONE UP closed considerable ground from a sluggish beginning. MAKE HAY flattened out in the stretch run after holding the runner-up position early. TINK raced forwardly early, but could not keep up. HAPPY COUNT could not retain his forward position. HANDY MAN turned in a dull effort. BUNNY HUG broke in a tangle and failed to become a threat. QUARTER-MASTER raced forwardly and weakened. ESCARGOT raced evenly. REHEARSER showed nothing. CAMBRIAN was rank at the gate. ADOPT, far back during the early stages, saved ground throughout his rallying and responded to strong urging to be up in the final stride. MR. BUSTER, after dueling for the lead from the start, held on gamely and just missed. ISTAN, in front early and steadied on the turn, moved well from the outside through the stretch. EAGLE EYE was much used while driving through along the inside, assumed command rounding the turn and held on well to the final strides, where he was crowded slightly. LOYAL LEGION lacked a menacing rally, but may improve. CORNWALL raced evenly. HIGH TREND lacked a rally. SCHEMING WORLD was crowded early and quit. Scratched— 205824 Be Gracious, 111.
