First Three Arlington Stakes Close for Nominations June 9 Nominations close Saturday, June 9, to Arlington Parks 5,000 added Myrtlewood Handicap, the 5,000 added Cleopatra Stakes, -and the 5,000 added Equipoise Mile. These are the first three stakes of the 15-stake program at the Arlington Heights, HI., track. The Myrtlewood Handicap, opening-day feature running Monday, June 18, is a six-furlong sprint for three-year-bids and upward. The Cleopatra Stakes, to be run June 20, is conditioned for three-year-old fillies, also at six furlongs. The "famed Equipoise Mile will highlight the first Saturday of the Arlington Park season, June 23, arid is a mile handicap for three-year-olds and upward. i
