WENT TO POST-5:43. OFF AT 5:431 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. BIG HERALDER saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, responded to punishment thereafter and disposed of COOL JUDGMENT in the last strides. COOL JUDGMENT assumed command at once, made the pace for three quarters under steady handling, held on gamely when set down through the stretch but could not withstand the winner. MI0 LIPS, outrun to the final quarter, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and closed .fast under brisk urging. JOES LADDIE held on well in a sharp effort and had no mishap. DUSTLIGHT tired after showing speed to the stretch. AMANECER was never dangerous. CANINA SIS was through early. FRERE JACQUES saved ground when outrun to the upper turn, was sent between horses entering the stretch, responded to hard urging and wore down 0. K. DOAK in the last sixteenth. The latter went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch and continued determinedly under hard urging, but could not withstand the winner. URGENT was forced wide after a half mile, came again when straightened for the drive, but could not get to the leaders. BOLD KING lacked early foot and raced wide. BUBBINS tired after racing forwardiy placed to the stretch. MR. TUCK gave way after racing well for three-quarters of a mile. PINE LADY could not keep up. MAD CORD was roughed at the turn into the backstretch and failed to recover. Scratched— 28822 Blue Hedda, 112; 29593 Zero, 112; 29472 Holly Mac, 112; 20029 Sweet Reward, 109. Overweight— Bubbins, 2 pounds. Mr. Tuck claimed by R and H Stable. Bold King claimed by Mrs. R. Grundy. Bubbins claimed by W. Zakocr. Attendance, 28,063; Total Mutuel Pool, ,074,181.
