Papit in Redskins Fold WASHINGTON, D. C, June 18 UP.— Johnny Papit, the University of Virginias backfield bulldozer for three years, signed a professional football contract today with the Washington Redskins. Papit hung up a total of more than 3,000 yards rushing in his three years of varsity competition. He averaged 6.1 yards a try and scored 27 touchdowns while playing either fullback or halfback.
