FLUSHING SAM, far back early, | rallied after five furlongs and, closing fast in the fhiddle of the track, won rapidly going away. IDLE PLATTER , was sent to the front at once, increased his advantage when shaken up at the far turn, then was no match for the winner, but gamely held LAST BRIGADE safe. The latter slipped between horses and was sent after the [ pace leaving the backstretch, loomed boldly for the drive, but hung. BURNING RAY failed to respond when set ; down.
