Present Two Features at Arlington Scarsdale Purse Draws Energetic King Ranch Ace Three-Time Camden Winner; Lily Lark Has Eight Fair Oaks Rivajs ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, HI., June 18. — The Fair Oaks and the Scarsdale, the former a six-furlong allowance dash for the three-year-olds fillies and the latter a claiming affair at one mile for four-year-olds and upward, are the best races dotting tomorrows program at Arlington Park. The race with the claiming clause carries the slightly larger purse, ,200, with the filly event worth ,000. Energetic, a six-year-bid from the King Ranch, who recently arrived here in charge of .trainer Buddy Hirsch, is top weight in the "claimer," which will come seventh on the bill. He will have 122 pounds under the conditions, while Boo Boo Shoo and Sabaean, both of whom were seen in action at the Lincoln Fields session as well as Fleet Factor, will have 118. Others named are Rodrigo, a -recent winner, 114; Bullish, 112; Mr. Smug, 112; Chariot Wheels, 110, and Floating Clown, 110. One of Energetics most recent good races was a victory in the Laurel Springs Purse at Garden State Park in which he defeated a fair field. Sabaean started in the Lincoln Handicap at Washington Park last Saturday and was racing fairly well up until he got into close quarters on the far turn. Boo Boo Shoo was a handicap winner in the Inaugural Handicap at Sportmans Park. Fleet Factor was winner of the Oaklawn Handicap at Hot Springs. The Ghizeh in Trouble Last Out The Fair Oaks will find a field of nine going to the post and included in the lot is Lily Lark, who won the Canter Purse at Churchill. Downs and was later second to Hasty Request in the Admiral Sherman Purse at the same track. The Calumet miss will be up against some fair ones, including Staggering -In, Duty Dance, Kissable, and The Ghizeh. The latter was well backed at Washington Park last time out, but was in some difficulty in the early running. Racing secretary Kilroe has experienced no trouble in filling the programs to date, and in fact has overflow fields in half the races on Tuesdays nine-event bill, namely the first, second, fourth and eighth races. The latter is at one and one-eighth miles on the turf, while the others are sprints. Two short distance favorites of this area will meet six others in the third race, a six-furlong dash. They are Eye Catcher and Chippewa Chief, both of whom raced at Sportsmans Park and Washington Park but fared better at the latter track. Next stake on the Arlington Park agenda will be the Cleopatra Stakes for three-year-old fillies to be run Wednesday. It will carry a purse of 5,000 and among the likely starters are Aunt Jinny, Ruth Lily, Shawnee Squaw, Flyamanita, and Jennie Lee.
