EMORY A. closed resolutely in a sharp effort, but was unable to seriously endanger the leader. SWIRLING, outrun early, finished resolutely. ALS. BOURBON tired under pressure. SILVER PLATE failed to stay. TRUMPETER, in close quarters on the first turn, caught tiring horses when clear. MESCARA was always between horses. RAWLINS was never formidable.
