Bobby Permane, an old favorite around New York, will accept mounts here-Friday and depart for New Jersey where he will ride during the Monmouth Park meeting. Charlie Tudor is handling his book. Nichols Combest, who was injured in a spill during the first week of the Belmont meeting, arrives Friday from Kentucky where he recuperated from his injuries. Agent Charlie Tudor reports that Combest will gallop horses for a few days and will begin accepting engagements on Wednes- day. The Queens County Jockey Club ha.s scheduled a repeat performance of the flag raising ceremonies for July 4. The same group. B. battery of the 69th anti-aircraft battalion, which is stationed at the track. will go through the routine.
