MARY LIKE, never far back, MOW interference at the stretch turn, was taken out to secure racing room i and .responding to urging, disposed of the leaders to win going away. BOXIE, away fast, engaged GOLDEN GESTURE to the stretch, raced the latter into defeat, but could not hold the winner. TETRAGINA lacked early speed but *»"«hfd fast under brisk urging. BROWNSTOWN was unable to overtake the leaders when set down through the stretch. ASTRODOMb, outrun early, made up ground during the drive. BOTHER made a mild bid nearing the stretch, then weakened BUDS PRIDE began slowly. PHAELATER could not keep up after beginning alertly. ROBIN RED was through early. GOLDEN GESTURE raced to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch while racing with BOXlt, then gave way. KIBBITZ had brief speed --- ... Won driving; second and third the same TINTINA was hustle- la the front before going a quarter mile, held a clear lead when settled in the stretch but was briskly ridden to retain the advantage BLABBER MOUTH, never far back and saving ground, gave a good effort but could not reach the winner. J0F0URTH, on the inside for the stretch run, could not better his poistion under brisk handling. NICOTINE GAL, forced wide at the stretch turn, closed willingly when straightened for the drive OCEAN CLIPPER lacked early foot. B0FAYE tired after showing early speed. HALVERS engaged TINTINA to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. STROLLING MOON was never dangerous and raced wide during thV last three-eighths. HERES ED was outrun. Won Driving; second and third the same BATTLE CHIEF never far back, moved up boldly entering the stretch and, swerving to the inside, assumed command, then hed IBERIA BOY safe IBERIA BOY, away fast and a sharp factor from the start, suffered interference from BATTLE CHIEF when sent to the inside of the latter for the drive, but finished strongly when finally clear A claim of foul against BATTLE CHIEF by IBERIA BOYS rider was not allowed by the stewards. BARBECK finished willingly, under punishment, but could not get to the leaders. HERA LOT went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from HOW BOUTHAT. then weakened. HOW BOUTHAT tired after engaging HERA LOT for three-eighths mile DOCTOR McCABE raced greenly. GLORIA JEAN had a rough trip. King CARE was outrun JET LIZZIE was never prominent. VIXEN FIXIT, smartly handled, was taken to the outside near the sixteenth pole to secure racing room, then finished strongly enough to dispose of the leaders in the last strides. SIR FAY, a sharp factor from the start, engaged ZYBIE until inside the stretch, continued determinedly under urging, but could not withstand the top one. ZYBIE went to the front at the start, tired during the drive and was in close quarters near the finish. A claim of foul against SIR FAY by ZYBIE S rider was not allowed by the stewards. WEEDY was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. FRENCH ROCKET could not keep up. HERMAN was outrun. FLAMING began slowlv and raced areenly. CLEO BOY was never prominent.
