Red Sox Purchase Contract Of Pitcher From Louisville BOSTON, Mass., June 12 UP.— The Boston Red Sox have purchased the contract of righthanded pitcher Richard Bro-dpwski from Louisville of the American Association, it was announced today. Red Sox general manager Joe Cronin also announced that the American League club has recalled lefthanded outfielder Charles Maxwell from Louisville. Both Brodowski and Maxwell will report to the Red Sox Saturday in Chicago to bring the clubs player roster to a total of 25.
