HABERDASHERY was closer than usual in the first part, then dropped back slightly on the backstretch but came very fast on the extreme outside in the stretch to catch BORN TO WIN in the final strides. The latter was nicely rated close to the pace in the early running and made an opportune move to get to the front after entering the stretch, then held on gamely and just failed to last. LUCKY CODINE moved up when urged nearing the stretch turn, then raced rather wide but bested MANCHAC in the drive. The latter loomed up after entering the stretch but had little left for the finish. TUXEDO was forced to take up when in close quarters right after the start. GRANDMAS DAY opened up a fairly long lead in the early running but stopped badly in the stretch. Scratched— 58771 Strike Out, 112. 1 Tuxedo claimed by B. W. Landy. Lucky Codine claimed by Emerald Hill Stable. Attendance, 11,584; Total Mutuel Pool, 79,767.
