Burmester recently vanned J the stallion from Dr. T. M. Johnsons Del Tex Stock Farm, Del Rio, where the former e Valdina Farm-owned sire had been standing for the past two years, to Falfurrias, ] and planned to move the stallion by easy stages bac kto North Texas. He would have i unloaded the stallion at Dr. Alvis E. Greers r. ranch at Burton for a brief rest before t making the last stage of the trip. | Colorado Lads death was entirely unexpected. The big stallion, sire of the West Coast sensation, Rado Kid, and many other v winners, had been frolicing about his quar- r ters while the groom was preparing his I feed. 1
