Little Robert in Quest Of More Ascot Laurels Seeks Third Win of Meet While Facing Nine Speedy Opponents By W. A. CRUSE Staff Correspondent ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, June 12. — The card for tomorrow, "Friday the 13th," brings together eight excellent contests and it is varied from every extent. The races are at distances from the about four and one -half furlongs to a mile and one-sixteenth and both the platers and the classier allowance campaigners are given an outing in each division. The Chagrin Falls is an allowance test for four-year-old and older horses and under allowance conditions, 10 in all were enticed to vie for a major portion of the ,000 purse. It is one of the about four and one-half furlongs affairs. R. A. Yourees Little Robert, Mrs. H. B. Stovers Lord Baltimore, Hall and Fetzers Swans Cadet, Mrs. O. Papkes Fifan, Slowey and Petrichs Deeside, the Dorchester Farms Roaming Oscar, R. J. Hamons Ruse, the A and H Stables Grace Moore, C. Brig-leys Little Butch, Mrs. J. E. Coxs Hot-timenow, and E. Burwells Go Jeep Go make up the field with the last two on the eligible list. Little Robert has turned consecutive victories in two starts at this nine-day-old meeting. In his last, the full horse by Robert Russell was one and one-half lengths the best of W. H. Barkers highly consistent and speedy Pair of Roses. That was the Stow Purse and also at the same distance under allowance conditions. The strip was heavy, yet jockey Howard Craig sped him over the distance in a commendable :57 flat. Prior to that score, and again with Craig in the saddle, he was a length and one-half better than Szalay and Osbornes Maydious. Time for the about four and one -half furlongs was :53% and he was installed a 4 to 5 favorite. Craig has been named again as his overnight pilot and the combination should find many supporters as the field goes postward. Ruse is another with an impressive victory to his credit. In the fourth race last Friday he was four lengths in front of M. H. Healeys Peribow. His time was two-fifths of a second faster than Little Roberts first victory over a fast strip and he could furnish the bone of contention as it were. Jockey Clarence Wright rode him to this victory and is again named overnight. The fifth race on the program shapes up as an ideal co-attraction. For three-year--old and older horses under allowance conditions, there are eight drawn to match strides at one and one-sixteenth miles in quest of a share of the ,000 purse. Three of these routers, L. Madonnas Buvel, Mr. and Mrs. C. Rogers Oyster K., and J. Inglishs Happy Jack were winners in their last outings, and their respective first starts at this session.
