Corpus Christi Procession Held at Churchill Downs CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., j June 18.-An estimated 50,000 Catholics j were in attendance last Sunday for the | 26th annual Corpus Christi procession, j More than 15,000 men and boys from vari- ! ] ous parishes throughout Kentucky and ] Southern Indiana marched in the proces- sion held at the Churchill Downs race course. An additional 35,000 women and j girls viewed the spectacle from the grand- ] stand and clubhouse. - , Tom Young, general superintendent of j Churchill, Downs, has turned over the fa- i j cilities of the Derby track to the Catholic ] dioceses for the Corpus Christi celebration for the past several years. f
