LINDEMAN Staff Correspondent FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsvile, 111., June 18. — Racing secretary Jack Klucina returned to his office here at Fairmount Park yesterday and swung into action almost immediately to the job of reallotting stall space. All of the horses now on the grounds will, of course, get preference if they plan on staying for the full 48 nights of racing that is now on the schedule*. There are many stables that would ship to the Collinsville cdurse if there were room tc put them up. Klucina is asking all horsemen that are stabled here just how long they intend to stay so that he can make room for more stables. On his return from the Chicago area, Klucina reported that he was able to interest owners of more than 50 of the better-class claiming variety horses to ship here for the opening of the long summer meeting that will get under way Friday, June 27. Training began in earnest again after the short lay-up. As many as 50 horses were on the track yesterday taking short preps. The new condition book with seven days of races will be in the hands of horsemen by the end of the week. The book will have four handicaps for the first seven nights, two for short distances and two for the mile or over routes. During the short lay-up many horses have changed hands by privtae sales and many one-horse stables have been turned over to other trainers. There will be little change in the former schedule as to the running of the meeting. There will be eight races carded for the midweek programs, while nine races will be presented for the Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights.
