SEVEN PILLARS improved position gradually, came to the outside with a rush wnen roused and drew out readily. SHIRLEYS PRIDE forced the pace, moved into brief command in the stretch, but was not good enough. SCHOLARSHIP, unable to keep up in the early stages, made up ground in the stretch. FORTNIGHT caught tiring horses. MOON NIGHT went evenly. MYTHOLOGICAL was unable to keep up. BUNTYS IMP had no mishap. BE MODEST was never prominent. GAY showed speed for a half mile and quit badly. GAME MISS worked her way up on the outside to near contention at the final turn, continued to gain under pressure, getting the lead inside the final sixteenth. ORANA slipped through along the inside to take command before a quarter mile, increased her margin on the turn and held on stubbornly. SCOTCH ROCKS, in close attendance of the pace, failed to rally when set down. FIRST CURTAIN was best of the others. INSINUATION lacked early speed. KITZBUHEL flashed brief speed. FIRST MOON tired. DOMQUIL broke alertly, dropped back in the opening quarter mile, was sent to the outside entering the stretch, gained command and held DUTCH PENNY safe. The latter was in close attendance of the pace from the outside, swung wide and closed stoutly. GOOD ZEPHYR, slow to get started, closed with a belated rush. NUTMEG LAD took command after a quarter mile, was unable to draw clear and weakened. LITTLE PEEP lacked a closing rally. HASKELL showed speed from the barrier, but tired after a half mile. STAR CHIEF moved between horses to get close to the early pace, but appeared short. CLOSING NIGHT raced evenly. SOCIALITE was never prominent. The others were outrun. LITTLE HARP broke alertly and was placed under steady restraint at once, remained in close attendance of the pace to the final quarter mile, moved into command when ready, opened a clear advantage and won as rider pleased. CHARING ROCK set the pace under light urging, saved ground throughout and held on stubbornly LONE PILOT moved along the inside to near the pace early, was steadied to the final turn, moved to the outside, but failed to respond to stout urging. ENFORCER closed willingly from off the pace. RAY K. raced wide most of the trip. LINWOOD HARRY was unable to keep up. NAVY assumed command at once and was steadied while allowing DUKES GAL to gain a brief lead on the far turn, then, regaining command when roused, widened the advantage to have plenty to spare at the end. RELATED, in hand close to the pace, was put to a drive entering the stretch and, although best of the others, was unable to reach the leaders. DOGS UP was steered to the outside entering the stretch, but failed to make up ground. IN TASTE slipped through along the inside, but was unable to menace.
