List Twenty-Two Horses Who Perished in Belmont Park Fire BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 18. — Final tabulation of the horses destroyed in a flash fire at this track on Monday morning was completed today. Twenty-two horses and a lead pony died in the flames. The vast majority of those destroyed were steeplechasers and the amount of insurance or those insured could not be learned. The complete list with their owners follows: Owner. Horse. Thomas L.
