ECHO ROCK was rated with good i judgment in the first half mile, then moved up on the outside of a couple of horses, and coming to the middle . of the track in the stretch caught RIOT at midstretch, but was shaken up nearmg the end to hold him. RIOT , flashed to the front nearing the stretch turn and went well thereafter. GRAND SUNBEAM displayed more early ! speed than usual. DALEEN dropped back to last place after breaking well and made up some ground in the ; late stages. BUSY FOX was unable to find an opening on the inside of VITAL SUN and was not dangerous there-I after. VITAL SUN tired after going five furlongs. AT NIGHT moved resolutely after going half the trip and easily passing EPERC rounding the stretch turn, drew out in the run heme to win with speed in reserve. EPERC went into a good lead early but was inclined to bear out on the turns and used himself up in the first six furlongs with little left with which to resist the winner. WISE ADVISOR was a forward factor from the start and went well to the end. ROUGH N READY was badly outrun until too late, then made a move. HASTY SUN and MAY FIRST had some early speed.
