FORGOTTEN MISS rushed to contention on the backstretch, and catching BOX TRADE nearing the stretch turn, took command, although racing rather wide and was not in danger coming to the finish. ORMES TOWN was never too far removed, and although losing some ground, finished well. BOX TRADE had the most foot, but weakened. SNAPHEEL was close enough early and had no excuse. The others failed to offer much opposition. ZINC WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN IN THE PADDOCK BY THE VETERINARIAN AFTER BETTING HAD BEGUN. MONEY WAGERED ON HIM WAS REFUNDED. ACQUIESCE was well rated close to the pace for five furlongs, then moved up on the outside of VICKI DIANA to easily head the latter and win as her rider pleased. VICKI DIANA was closest to SUNNY SONG while the latter was making the early pace and took over when the latter began to tire, to easily best the others KELLYS MISTAKE was going well at the finish. AGITATE was carried very wide by GRAYMONT, rounding the first turn, but had enough speed to get away from the latter entering the backstretch, and coming to the inside, after opening up on his opponents, was never in trouble thereafter. FAIR LAURIE saved ground on the first turn but was doing her best to hold POPS PAL. The latter finished with good courage. B0ND0R was weakening. ACCELERATOR made up ground. The latter moved to take command after leaving the backstretch but was not good enough. RUTHS VACATION set most of the pace but weakened. FIXED STAR failed to be a strong contender. The latter was outrun early but moved up on the inside entering the stretch and was going well at the finish. SEVENTH SUN was always a fairly good contender. ABISOK raced evenly. ROSAMUNDA II. was outrun early and was not called upon until half the distance had been traversed, then came steadily and challenging REPARTEE on the outside in the stretch, got to the front near the end to win under pressure. REPARTEE was also rated early and headed the field nearing the stretch turn, then held on gamely in the final drive. ADAPTATION was inclined to race wide and trailed the field for over six furlongs, then came well. LADY RIDGEWELL was a good contender early but weakened. SOUTH COVERT tired. STAGGERING IN was never too far removed and coming strongly on the outside of several horses nearing the stretch turn, took command at mid-stretch, although racing in the middle of the track and held LADY SERENATA in the drive. The latter was rated early, moved well when called upon in the stretch and went gamely to the finish. GINNAS WAR made the pace, although inclined to race wide in the early part and held on with a fair amount of courage. FIGHTING DAY slipped through on the inside nearing the stretch turn to take a short lead, then weakened. MENT POT was going well at the finish. GUS G. was unable to keep up.
