Nightingale Expected To Rule Ascot Choice Consistent Bell Runner Will Have Bill Keefe as Running Mate ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, April 30. — The Kent Purse, at six and a half furlongs, headlines the program to be presented here tomorrow afternoon. The race is written under allowance conditions and has drawn a field of nine three-year-olds and older to match strides. Nightingale, from the large stable of trainer W. P. Bell was scratched from the feature here on Wednesday in preference to her stablemate, Flyaway Jack. However, she is expected to start in the Kent and if she does will probably go postward as the heavy favorite. Nightingale has been out 16 times already this season and hit pay dirt on five different occasions. Her latest victories were tallied at Lincoln Downs, where she won two races running in claiming events. Previous to her invasion of Rhode Island, the daughter of Nordlicht. who is only eligible for racing purposes, was at Sunshine Park. Trainer Bell has entered another horse in the Kent, that being Bill Keefe. who also can "turn it on." In two local races thus far he has run a bang-up second to Sea Weather and was then unplaced in last Saturdays feature. Bill Keefe is no stranger to the winners circle, having won himself three races in 12 starts, which has been good for almost ,000 to owner Dave Schmeck. Embers, from the barn of E. F. Lovelace, turned in a fine performance the other day and will have many supporters present. With jockey Eddie OKeefe in the saddle. Embers broke second, moved up quickly to assume command and, at the end of the four and a half furlongs, was a comfortable four-length winner. In her other race here she was fourth to Oh Linda, showing an even effort throughout. Dotty N. has been a winner and placed thus far in two outings and cant be counted out of this event. Others scheduled to face starter Eddie Anthony are Mor Snoozey, Country Editor, Winterland, Oklahoma Time and Irish Wit.
