Elias G. Looms as Choice ToTakeWildwood Purse Blue Rhymer and Euclid Making Seasonal Debuts at Garden State By WILLIAM C. PHILLIPS Staff Correspondent GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., April 30. — The Wildwood Purse will be the feature attraction at this course tomorrow. It is a six -furlong dash that contains a convergence of sprinters from various racing points, with a couple coming out of winter quarters. P. Godfreys Elias G., second in his last appearance at Jamaica, looms the probable choice. Harborvale Stables Alladier looms dangerous from his recent morning trials, while Mrs. S. M. Pistorios Singing Beauty, a surprise stakes victress late last season, will be well regarded. John L. McKnights Blue Rhymer and Mrs. E. H. Augustus Euclid will both be making their 1953 debut, but deserve consideration from some excellent efforts last season. A full dozen are named to compete and others could also be dangerous. Elias G. won for a 0,000 claiming price over a sloppy track at Jamaica, followed this with a disappointing effort, and then finishing second the last time under a tag of 2,500. His main strength is found in early speed, and an inside post position tomorrow offers him the chance for its full utilization. Alladier, a rather erratic performer last year, was not too impressive in two races at Bowie this spring, but improvement is likely. He recently worked in company with Dark Peter at Bowie and turned in an excellent six furlongs in 1:12 and some change.
