DOTTIE DEAR responded readily when set down for the drive and, after taking command, drew clear under brisk urging. QUEENS STORY, never far back, closed with good energy, but was unable to overtake the winner. SINGING GIRL rallied too late to seriously endanger the top ones. SILLY SARA had no apparent mishap. PRINCESS POLLY finished determinedly under pressure. GAMBOGE was unable to keep up. CAMISOLE raced evenly. FLAGITORO weakened when the real test came. SWEET KATHIE lacked the necessary rally. THE STRAW was never dangerous. BURNT LIPS dropped back soon after the start. LOCKSTITCH was outrun. GOYAS DAISY was never prominent. LUCKY TUNE and the others were outdistanced early. DONT ARGUE was sent into closer contention when straightened for the drive, but was unable to reach the leader when hard ridden through the late stages. MID CENTURY came out for the stretch run, but was not good enough. CHARIER failed to stay. BOTTLE OF INK lacked early speed. PALOS, fractious at the post, was unable to keep up during the running. BRECHIN worked her way forward to gain closer contention on the final hurdle and, after replacing PAR AMOUR during the concluding strides, had enough left to outgame RHYTHMINHIM. The latter bobbled slightly on the fifth jump when trying to avoid the m.chap when HOLYSTONE fell, recovered gamely and, after being guided to the complete outside for the stretch run, closed resolutely. PAR AMOUR displayed good speed from the start and held on well in a sharp effort. EXTERNAL RELATIONS tired when placed to pressure. WAR RHODES failed to stay. COVETED never was dangerous. NOVA LUNA quit. RAMILLION was outrun. MAILING LIST was forced out on the final turn. HOLYSTONE stumbled and fell at the fifth obstacle.
