Lincoln Fields Cicero, Berwyn Purses Each Have Drawn Fields of Nine Horses Judy Rounders Gets Call for* Sophomore Event and Sprint Edge May Go to Neverlator HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., May 18.— The Cicero Purse, for three-year-olds at one and one-sixteenth miles, and the six-furlong Berwyn Purse, for three-year-olds and older horses, will be the major attractions on Tuesdays Lincoln Fields program at Hawthorne. Each of these second day features attracted nine starters. Heading the field for the Cicero Purse will be J. T. Nathans Judy Rounders, winner of six races this year, who is showing great improvement over her two-year-old form last season. The daughter of the Irish-bred Rounders started 13 times as a juvenile before breaking her maiden in her final start of the year. But before January racing had run its course the bay filly had scored three victories, which were followed by three more, the latest occurring on April 27. Her rider in the Cicero Purse will be Don Wagner. John Beals bay filly, Acquiesce, one of Judy Rounders principal rivals in the Cicero Purse, has four wins to her credit this season. She will be ridden by Harold Keene, leading rider at the recent Sportsmans Park meeting. Others named for the Cicero are: Ralph Salvinos Tarom, Mrs. M. V. Hawleys Mar-wood, J. J. Gregorys Flight Captain, H. I. Greathouses Prince Adaris, M and T Stables Gizeh, F. W. Hoopers Hope Hull, and Mrs. R. L. Reinemans Waravid. All but Mar-wood, Gizeh and Waravid are winners this season. T. G. Bensons Neverlator is the principal winner of the year among the nine starters for the Berwyn Purse, although all the others have earned brackets this season. Neverlator has four wins to his credit. The others are M. H. VanBergs Countess In, Ralph Salvinos Princess Ann, Mrs. T. M. Pruetts Ida C, J. L. Oglesbys Lock Out, F. W. Hoopers Ten Forty, Funk and Roths Very Special, Everett Lowrances Shane and Mrs. A. M. Creechs Mahplay. Johnnie Adams is scheduled to ride the hard-hitting old mare, Countess In, while his apprentice rider son, John, Jr., has the mount on Lock Out.
