SCOUR broke alertly, was kept close to the pace down the backstretch, moved inside on the far turn, gained command and drew out easily. ARCTIC IKE rallied mildly in closing stages. QUICK DEAL opened a comfortable lead soon after the start, drifted out slightly and weakened. OUR FREEDOM outbroke rider, swerved to the outside, was straightened and worked his way up between horses in a good effort. TEDLIN had no mishap. ROMARY ANN weakened. ARKM0 was unable to keep up. LOUIS K. moved to engage the leader after five furlongs, was unable to reach command and weakened. RUTHS BOY was through after a half mile. FOLLY MILLS was taken back off the pace and held in reserve until the final quarter mile, but was unable to make up appreciable ground. MISS JOANNE, smartly raced while kept within striking distance of the pace, moved into command readily when set down and outfinished EPIC KING in the final sixteenth. The latter drew clear soon after the start with the rider having a stout hold, skirted the inner rail, responded when challenged but was not good enough. LITTLE LUCKY, closer to the pace than usual, rushed boldly on the turns, hung through the stretch, then closed ground in the final yards. TIME FOR SPEED had no mishap.
