Rangers Buy Defenseman NEW YORK, N. Y., June 29 UP. The New York Rangers of the National Hockey League bought 23-year-old defenseman Bob Chrystal from the Cleveland Barons of the American League today for an undisclosed sum of cash. As part of the deal, the Rangers optioned defenseman Steve Kraftcheck to the Barons.
