FIGHTING IKE look command at once, entered the stretch with a clear lead, but was ridden out to retain the advantage. BRIGHT SHOES, a keen factor from the start, closed gamely under brisk urging, but could not get to the winner. LADY ELECT, away sluggishly, saved ground while improving position, but faltered during the drive. PEEKIN had no mishap. SMOOTH PALM had early speed, drifted cut at the stretch turn, then tired. MAIDS LIGHT was never dangerous. ENGLISH FLIGHT was outrun. SEVENS STAR was never prominent. ERICE was through early. JOE IS HOPING and FORTY FATHOMS showed nothing and were badly beaten. The latter took an early lead, held on well under poorly-judged handling through the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. SUN HALO gave a good effort and had no excuse. BETSY MARIE made up ground during the drive. KALLUKI raced wide through the stretch. TRE TIO engaged LUCKY CHIPS for a half-mile, but had nothing left for the drive. ONWARD MARCH showed nothing. SON AL was far back throughout. ERDON, in close quarters going to the first turn, failed to recover after taken up sharply. TENEDOS began alertly, but dropped back after the break and raced evenly to the stretch, bore out at the turn, but closed tsrongly when straightened for the drive and disposed of the leaders in the last sixteenth. RIDGE RUNNER gave a good effort, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but could not withstand the winner. MUSIC, never far back, went to the front entering the stretch, but faltered under pressure. JOFIELD lacked early speed. WHAMMO had no mishap. LOVELY DEVIL was outrun. FLYING TASSLE took command early, set the pace for a half mile, then gave way. SEVEN TRIX tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. MOON LOVE, never far back but in the middle of the track, established a good lead near the finish and was unnecessarily punished during the last seventy yards to increase the advantage. PRAIRIE KID raced evenly for a half mile, finished well under urging, but could not get to the top one, although much the best of the others. IN DEEP made a good bid entering the stretch, then faltered. SISTIME raced forwardly placed for a half mile, but had nothing left for the drive. CELERITER was never prominent. LYNCH, in hand to the upper turn, moved up boldly at thes tretch turn, then faltered under pressure. MR. JUSTICE had no : mishap. SUPER SPEED showed nothing. SPEEDY GOLD, forced wide at the first turn-by SPOTITRIG, failed to recover after the mishap. BONDOR took an early lead, set the pace for a half-mile while engaging STAR CRATER, then gave way.
