S. Cotton; bred by G. Welly. f REACHED POST 5:36. OFF AT 5:381 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. MY CELESTE, under occasional rousing while outrun, was steered to the inside making up distance on the turn, then came around horses for the stretch " drive and rushed past the leaders to draw away in the middle of the track. ATALANTA was snugly reserved setting the pace, gave way momentarily to NILUFER on the final turn, but disposed of her when urged and -held on well to best GRANDMA JOSIE. The latter rapidly raced into serious contention after a half mile, drifted in and brushed with NILUFER at the head of the stretch and hung. OCCUPANCY was under strong pressure saving ground in a forward position and lacked a rally for the drive. AESTHETE gave an even effort. NILUFER delayed the start while being fractious in the gate, closely pressed the pace and reached the front at the quarter pole, then was tiring and drifted out when bumped by GRANDMA JOSIE. LA CORREDORA A gave a poor effort and raced wide the last half mile. BRAZEN BRAT quit. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. Reveille, July 1, 1950 1:43 4 112. Dotter; bred by J. C Brady and H Oots, i REACHED POST 6:13. OFF AT 6:13 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. PLUMED trailed badly the first half mile, steadily made up distance thereafter and, closing in the middle of the track, wore down the leaders in the final strides. COUNT CAVOUR was under light pressure racing closest to the pace, responded when I punished to reach the front near the end and just missed. BY JUPITER raced out to a long lead while under j restraint, remained safely in front into the last furlong and suddenly flattened out. PLIANT was fractious at J the gate, was a forward factor under pressure and lacked an effective rally. HEIRLOOM was outrun. P0MPAN0 1 was not a factor. SCOLLAY SQUARE REARED AND CAUGHT HIMSELF IN THE STARTING GATE. HE WAS A ORDERED WITHDRAWN BY THE VETERINARIAN AND ALL WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. I Scratched 90838 Scollay Square, 109.
