POO BAH was badly outrun to the . stretch, but came fast on the inside through the stretch, caught SMACKOVER in the last few yards. The latter, well rated early, shook off YEA BAMA entering the stretch and withstood a mild challenge from SLIM, but his rider appeared to become overconfident nearing the end and seemed to be caught napping when POO BAH r closed up on the inside. SLIM made a good move entering the stretch, but was not quite good enough, although having ample chance in the run home. CURRAGH KING closed a gap and was going strongly at the end. YEA r BAMA weakened in the stretch. I Scratched 81387 Heredity, 116. f NINTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES turf course. The Eagle, June 24, 1953 1:42 5 114. Purse r Q 1 1 1 1 - 4-year-olds and upward. Claiming.
