The latter raced EVENING SONG into defeat to wrest command but was unable to resist the winner. EVENING SONG displayed good speed while setting the pace and weakened. BLUE REWARD could not menace the leader when set down for the drive. MARACABO was never a factor. BLUEBERRY BUSH was always far back. POINT LOOKOUT quit badly. BOFUS moved from just off the pace to attain a slight lead but was unable to retain the advantage. JINGLER drove between horses to be on even terms with the leader in midstretch, then weakened slightly. PEANUTS MAN rallied too late. CRYSTAL SIGN gave way during the drive. TWILIGHT SONG was through after a half mile. EDIEROSE could not get up. REPRODUCTION loomed a threat from the outside on the final turn and weakened. LITTLE CAPTAIN retired early when unable to stay with AQUARIUS. The latter flattened out badly through the stretch.
