Arlington Changes Saturday First Post Time to 1 :45 ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 29. Post time at Arlington Park on Saturday, July 4, and on every Saturday thereafter will be 1:45 p.m., it was announced today by executive director Benjamin F. Lindheimer. Arlington Park officials this year are making a distinct effort to speed up the daily racing program, and a study of the first week showed the trial successful. The 30-minute gap between races had already received favorable comment from both patrons and horsement and the policy will be continued. ."Weve had many requests from patrons for the later post on Saturdays," Mr. Lind -hmeier said, "and we will continue our policy of getting the racing day over as quickly as possible. So many fans who like to wager on the aDily Double found, despite the introduction of the Daily Double machines, that it was a little too early on Saturdays. "We hope to have the final race off at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Saturdays anr at 5 : 15 p jn. on week days."
