Statement on Purses Clarified AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 29. John A. Morris, president of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations, Inc., today clarified one of the points made in the questions and answers period which followed his talk before the Thoroughbred Club of America on Friday night. Morris was quoted as saying that "he believed tracks should pay all purses published in the condition book." However, he added that he was in favor of these payments "when a defnite amount of money is guaranteed." The latter quote was omitted from this newpapers coverage of the TCA dinner.
