Sextet Entered in Dorchester Purse Cajun, Blue Licks Each to Carry 117 Screemin Jack Also to Draw Attention at Arlington; Some Fun Goes in Secondary Event ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 29. A small field of six has been entered in the Dorchester Purse, which will be the feature of tomorrows racing here. They are Bugledrums, owned by Sam E. Wilson, Jr.; Cajun, from Hasty House Farm; Blue Licks, owned by Mrs. Sayde Smith; K. G. Rodines Experimental; Mrs. Herbert Herffs Screemin Jack, and Commandant, owned by H. H. Mundy. Cajun, who will carry 117 pounds, finished sixth his last time out, two weeks ago, during the Lincoln Fields meet. In a Monday morning workout Cajun turned in a :37, breezing, for three-eighths mile. His record for the current year shows him unplaced in two starts. Experimental finished far out of contention in a mile and a sixteenth race here last Wednesday. In six races this year he has scored only once in a seven-furlong allowance event over the Hawthorne strip. Trainer J. J. Eckrosh sent Experimental through a six-furlong workout Saturday, which was clocked in 1:16, breezing. A half mile on Sunday was completed in :49 in the same manner. Experimental will carry 114 pounds. Baldwin on Blue Licks Blue Licks is in the seven-furlong event under 117 pounds and will be ridden by Ronnie Baldwin. The four-year-old Shut Out geldings last outing here was a sixth place finish Friday to Joe Graves. Prior to that he returned second and third in two Hawthorne outings. His record for the current year is two wins, four seconds and two thirds in 14 starts. Screemin Jack will carry 114 pounds. Early in the Lincoln Fields meeting he finished second in six- and seven-furlong events. The five-year-old Pictor gelding worked five furlongs in 1:00, going handily, here Saturday morning. He has one victory for the current year a six-furlong affair at Churchill Downs. Commandant, light-weighted with 107 pounds, in two starts this year, has finished far out of contention in six and one-half furlong affairs. Trainer J. P. Hall, sent the five-year-old son of Alsab on a three-quarter work last Wednesday morning, which was completed in 1:12, going handily. The half-mile was clocked in :47. Bugledrums will carry 111 with Johnny Heckmann in the saddle. His last outing two weeks ago at Hawthorne shows him third in an allowance field, ahead of Oil Capitol. One of Bugledrums best efforts was a second to To Market in the 1950 Arlington Futurity. The four-year-old Chance Play colt turned in a three-eighths work this morning in :37 breezing. A secondary attraction of the card will bring together a band of seven three-year-olds at a mile and one-sixteenth in a claiming event over the grass course. V. L. Sheas Some Fun will have the services of Eddie Arcaro and will carry top weight of 120 pounds. The Some Chance gelding won his last start at a mile at Belmont Park two weeks " ago. It represented his first and only win in 11 starts this year. Mrs. L. Reinemans Waravid, making his second start, will be ridden by Johnny Adams, who finished third with him in a mile event here last Tuesday. Others entered in this event making their second start of the current meeting at Arlington are Cherokee Pilot, Shady Tune and Far Echo.
