Texas A. and M. Names New Field House White Coliseum BRADY, Tex., May 11. G. Rollie White, Southwestern stockman, capitalist, thoroughbred breeder and chairman of the board for Texas A. and M. College, recently received a signal honor from this famous institution. Its newly completed physical education building and field house was named the G. Rollie White Coliseum. White has served on the college board since 1926, and as president since 1944. White, who has two strings of horses in training, one at Chicago and one in Virginia, owns one of the most pretentious stock farms and breeding establishments in this state. He stands the Maryland-bred Challadroit, full brother of Challedon, and Loumoud, by Mahmoud. He has been president of the Commercial National Bank here since its organization 46 years ago. He was graduated from A. and M. in 1895. The G. Rollie White "Coliseum will have a seating capacity of 13,400. It includes a basketball court, an arena for livestock shows, facilities for public ceremonies and entertainments, as well as classrooms, therapy rooms, workout rooms and offices for the department of physical education. White also is a leader in the annual Brady Jubilee and takes a keen interest in the racing program at the Brady track in July.
