UNCLE EMERY saved ground while in hand to the last three-eighths, was sent around the field entering the stretch and, responding to vigorous handling, disposed of the leaders to win going away. PENROSE, reserved while in! a forward position to the stretch, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but was unable to stay with the winner. SWEET CREAM, in close quarters leaving the backstretch, raced well when clear. CLASH, never far back, went to the front after five-eighths mile and settled for the drive with a short lead, then weakened. BELLE WATLING was outrun. THE BLUE MISS tired during the stretch run. JOFOURTH gave way after racing well to the stretch. TRULY FAIR II. had early speed, but failed to stay. GOLDEN GREEK, rank at the post, showed little in the running. MISS LAWDY was through early. DEBBIE SUE, away sluggishly, was hustled to the front before going a quarter mile, settled in the stretch with a clear lead, but was hard ridden during the drive to withstand BALAS GEM. The latter, a sharp factor from the start, engagedDEBBIE SUE after the break, closed gamely under urging, but could not overtake the winner. CARLYN gave a good effort and had no mishap. CEBETTE was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. KANAWHA made a good bid nearing the stretch, then faltered while racing in close quarters. DOGEIANA had a rough race. CINDY CROWE raced wide. BLUE REWARD, forced to take up soon after the start, failed to recover. CEREMONY was through early and drifted to the outside during the stretch run. JAYCILE, forwardly placed and saving ground to the stretch, responded willingly when set down in the drive and wore down IM EXPECTIN in the last seventy yards. The latter engaged KING JOE from the start, held a short lead when settled in the stretch, but was unable to withstand the top one. KING JOE began fast, raced well to the final furlong, then faltered. VANHILL raced evenly and had no excuse. DRONGO was- outrun. BLUE RENO raced wide. WILD WING could not keep up.
