Nominations of Determine, Correlation AndlmbrosReceivedforHawthorneCup 5,000 Added Race Carded For October 16; Hasseyampa And Sub Fleet Also Named Nominations of Andrew J. Crevolins Kentucky Derby winner, Determine, and Imbros, who won the 00,000 William P. Kyne Handicap the same afternoon in the Crevolin silks, have been received for the 5,000 added Hawthorne Gold Cup, Managing Director Robert F. Carey revealed yesterday. Carey also announced that Robert S. Lytles Correlation, favorite in the Derby, also has been named for the mile and quarter Hawthorne Stake that will be renewed this fall on Saturday, October 16. Under handicap conditions, the Gold Cup will close for nominations on Saturday, May 22. Subscriptions are 00 each, with a 50 payment due on July 1. The fee to pass the entry box is 50, with 50 additional to start. Robert W. Mcllvains Hasseyampa, who ran third behind Determine and Hasty Road in the Kentucky Derby and who just the other day was made a supplementary entry to the Preakness Stakes to be run May 22, also has been nominated for the Gold Cup. Dixianas Sub Fleet, who took down 7,350 of the 06,200 gross purse in accounting for the 1953 Cup, will try for the race again, his nomination fee also having been received. Coming as it does late in the racing year, the Hawthorne headliner is expected to attract several leading three-year-olds. Determine, who already has accounted for seven stakes including three Derbys, having won the Santa Anita and Bay Meadows in addition to the Churchill Downs classic, is presently at Hollywood Park and is expected to start a few times at that meeting. Leading money-winner of the year with 59,800 to his credit, Determine is expected to see action here this summer in the Arlington Classic and American Derby and then could very well remain over or return later for the Gold Cup. Correlation, who accounted for the Florida Derby and Wood Memorial, is at Pim-lico preparing for the Preakness. Correlation was cut .above the hoofs behind and was punch-fired for a blind splint. However, he is coming along splendidly and is expected to keep his Preakness engagement. Sub Fleet has been idle since the New Orleans winter season, while Imbros is at Hollywood Park along with his more illustrious stablemate.
