When Tony DeSpirito rode Jantember to victory in the opening race at Suffolk Downs Monday, it recalled to many that it was on Jantember that Tony equaled the American riding record in 1952 at Tropical Park. Jantember was his 388th winner. Oddly enough that victory was in the mud, too, and Jantembers first win since that event.
