MIKEABY, nicely ridden and reserved early, came outside the leaders steadily making up distance in the drive and drew clear with a rush. DAMION gradually entered closer contention, loomed boldly in the drive, but could not match the winner. TOP BRASS set an even pace and held on fairly well under punishment. BEE ARR raced closest to the pace under light urging and weakened. COVER OFF, steered to the inside after the start, was a keen factor to the stretch and then lacked a rally. PICKED was outrun. GIGGLE gave a poor effort. NEVERSINK raced wide and bolted on the final turn. Scratched 15959 Vertrees, 108. Overweight Top Brass, 2 pounds; Neversink, 2. Neversink claimed by Newland Stable.
