Sprint Races Predominate On Beulah Park Program Englands Jr., and Melmars U. N. Test Speed at Six Furlongs BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 11. Most of the races on Wednesdays card are sprint races. This can be expected this early in the meeting when many horses are being returned to competition after being turned out during the cold months. These dashes provide an opportunity for them to get ready for the longer contests as the meeting progresses. Also the racing strip is "off" from the recent heavy rains but with a sttff breeze blowing today and no additional precipitation, the track should be no worse than slow and might be bordering on fast. A pair of allowance races is carded Wednesday. These non-claiming tests are posted as the sixth and seventh races of which the latter is the nominal headliner. Teh seasoned sprinters are listed to match strides in the seventh race which will be decided at six furlongs and offers a prize of ,400. The line-up in the feature includes Sud-dennews, Cross End Melmars U. N., Jerky, Come Early, Mr. T. A. Englands Jr., Valley Sprite and Sir Galla Bill. Three of these entrants were declared from yesterdays feature indicating their connections are convinced the horses are ready for a winning effort. Englands Jr. has not raced since last October at this track. Prom five starts during the fall session, this four-year-old son of this England Reno Marigold won two races and got a portion of the purse in two other rties. Melmars TJ. N. is also making his seasonal debut after being turned out during the winter months. Over the local strip last fall, Melmars TJ. N. collected some part of the purse in all four outings including one victory. Sir Galla Bull has made six appearances this year and finished third on two occasions.
