Straight Face Slated to Meet ! Native Dancer in Metropolitan BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 13. Trainer John Gaver announced today that Greentree Stables Straight Face would definitely fill his engagement in Saturdays Metropolitan Mile, in which he is to carry 117 pounds to the 130 assigned Alfred G. Vanderbilts Native Dancer. Straight Face showed, a sparkling return to his best form by scoring a front-running victory in last Saturdays Dixie Handicap. No definite decisions have yet been made with regard to Mrs. J. R. H. Thourons Royal Vale and W. M. Wickhams White Skies, who have been assigned 126 pounds each, but have other engagements that may be more attractive than an encounter with Native Dancer. Royal Vale is top-weight in next week!s Massachusetts Handicap with the same 126 pounds, while White Skies may go in the Roseben at six furlongs on May 22 and the seven-furlong Carter at Aqueduct.
