Stewards Rulings SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, III., May 13. Jockey Leslie L. Wickel was suspended for 10 racing days here today by the stewards, for rough riding: in the third race of May 12. The suspension is in effect from May 15 to May 26. GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 13. The stewards this afternoon issued the following ruling: "Apprentice jockey Karl Korte is suspended for 10 days from May 15 through May 25, for careless riding going into the first turn, second race, May 12, 1954, Garden State Park. Korte is held blameless for the interference resulting in the disqualification of his mount, Thee and Me, eighth race, May 12, 1954, Garden State Park." FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., May 13. The Fairmount stewards issued the following ruling: "Jockey R. Borgemenke is hereby suspended for 10 racing nights beginning on May 14, 1954, and ending on May 27, inclusive, for rough-riding and failure to keep a straight course during the stretch run in the seventh race Tuesday night, May 11, 1954." FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 13. The stewards issued the following ruling Wednesday: "For abusive use of the whip prior to the starting of the sixth, race on Wednesday, May 12, jockey B. Buell is fined 5." FONNER PARK, Grand Island, Nebr., May 13. The stewards today issued the following ruling: "Jockey Joe Rettele is fined 5.00 for failure to be in the jockeys room at the assigned time prior to the days faces, May 12, 1954."
