Wilbur Brown Beds Down T4-Horse Stable at Omaha OMAHA, Nebr., May 13. Wilbur Brown, owner-trainer from Auburn, Nebr., checked in at thes Ak-Sar-Ben track with a formidable string of li. thoroughbreds which promise to see their share of action in the 35-day meeting which opens Thursday afternoon, May 20. Top performer in the Brown stable is So True, seven-year-old daughter of Buster, out of Jistroe. The sleek-looking mare was a favorite of Ak-Sar-Ben race fans last year when she finished in the money in five of her nine starts at the local oval. Brown, one of Nebraskas veteran campaigners at Ak-Sar-Ben, lost the horse in a claiming race last year, then claimed her back at a higher price before taking his racing string to Chicago. At Chicago, So True racked up a win, two seconds, 3 third and a fourth in five starts. Shell b starting her 1954 racing at Ak-Sar-Beh this month. Browns horses accounted for a total of 12 victories around the racing circuits last year. Fido, three -time-winner last year, was in the money in three of six Ak-Sar-Ben starts, and Sandy Red, winner of three, cashed in in two of his five starts on the Omaha strip. Other runners in the Auburn string include Naughty Nurse, Jim Glendale, True Me and Jay Don, all runners at Ak-Sar-Ben last year.
