WHISKEY SOUR, away fastest, was taken back, slightly from the pace after a quarter mile, forged to the front leaving the final turn, then in a long drive outgamed KHUMBABA. The latter drifted out entering the stretch, recovered readily to reach near even terms with the leader inside the final furlong, but appeared to hang during the concluding strides. BRUSH-LESS assumed command before going a half mile, gave way to the winner nearing the furlong marker and continued to tire thereafter when punished.
