FLO D. was well placed early and moved to the front of the pace-setting BUSY GAL nearing the stretch turn, then gamely withstood a last sixteenth challenge from FALESA, holding the latter to the finish. FALESA moved up on the outside nearing the stretch turn and continued to be a strong contender to the end. BONNIE INEZ went, steadily but was beaten off by the first two. BRIEF BRAND made up some ground. BUSY GAL tired. HASTY HANK bore out badly on the second turn. LU BLITZER had some early speed, but bore almost to the outside fence on the second turn and went wide thereafter. . ORMES TOWN was unable to outrun TAKARE but was not too far from the latter in the early stages, and coming to the outside of him in the stretch, bested him under urging. TAKARE rushed to the front going to the first turn and held on fairly well to be easily best of the others. SIRITAS GAL went steadily throughout and was never seriously threatened for third place. HOMBRE BAY lost some ground on the first turn but went well thereafter. RUSSELL TS was going fairly well at the end. MIRA SADOR failed to be a serious contender. PINK MINK bore out badly on the first turn, taking JUST EIGHT with her and both lost all chance. DEMOSTHENES II. was hustled to the front soon after the start, and after making the pace under light restrain, drew away when ready and was an easy winner. VALIDITY was close enough to the leader for the first five furlongs, then dropped back gradually but was easily best of the rest. THE SPY dropped back after going a half mile but held third place rather easily. PLAY TORCH raced evenly. LALL ROOKH went fairly well. SLEEPY TIGREE had some early speed. DECONTROL raced rather wide while moving up on the outside but easily took command when ready rounding the far turn, then drew out and was not in danger in the stretch while racing well out from the rail. BRACERO was always a good contender and went well to the finish. ANNA CHARGE ran a. fairly even race. AIRWAY had the most early speed, but faltered after being headed. CAROLS JOY was badly outrun and was in rather tight quarters a couple of times. GIN-MAR tired. BABS BOY failed to be a serious factor." RUN-ACROSS improved her position in the late stages to best the others. MY DREAM LADY was outrun early but closed well. DEEP WONDER bore out on the first turn, then raced in second place until well into the stretch, but weakened in the final drive. MARSHAWEISTA was outrun. HALE N HARTY tired. MUSCLES was within striking distance of the pace while being hustled along, closed strongly in the stretch, to catch MISS WABASH, took command and had enough left to hold MASTER RED. The latter raced fairly well placed and improved his position in the stretch to be gaining. MISS WABASH opened a rather lengthy lead in the first three furlongs, then had little left for the final drive. SKIN JUNIOR finished fairly well. LUCKY WILLIAM was badly outrun and failed to seriously menace. UNCLE TOM bolted to the inside right after the start, then weakened after having gained a fairly prominent place. MENTAL GYMNAST was never too far away and made a bold try in the run home, but was not good enough. MYSTIC CHIEF was outrun to the stretch, then came steadily. ALHAMPERED closed some ground. CLEETSIE showed good speed in setting the pace, withstood early challenges to .wtf oihe backstreJch then saved ground to hold on falrty well. STAGGERING IN finished steadily THUMB ROCK was rushed up on the outside of a couple of horses after going three furlongs, lost ground most of the way and had little left at the finish.
