LIGHT BRICK, badly outrun early, was nicely handled while improving his position and wore down KING FLUSH. The latter, unhurried for a half mile, reached contention and the lead from the outside, drew clear in the early stretch and held on gamely. HOT DATE could not menace the top pair while rallying. LUCKY JONNIE flattened out through the stretch, as did SCEZZANO. EXORBITANT showed nothing. SCOTCH DARE was outrun. BONSOIR ALICE stopped to a walk. BE TRUMP turned in a dull effort.
