MISS SANDS worked her way up on the outside to near the leaders turning into the stretch, responded to steady pressure and outfinished LITTLE FERD. The latter raced close to the pace, vied for command inside the final furlong but was not good enough. GATOR BAIT drew clear soon after the start, dominated the oace to the final sixteenth and weakened. AUNT TEENIE had no mishap. SMOKY DAY caught tiring horses. VIENNA DANCE was in close quarters most of the trip. HIGH LAMA lacked early speed. The others were outrun. PLATTERETTE broke alertly, dropped back, was roused after three furlongs, gained racing room on the turn when sent between horses, assumed command and drew out. HATTER WAR, forced to lose ground on the turns, rallied in the stretch and closed with good energy. GOTTADANCE was under stout urging to drive up along the inside to challenge for command and faltered. MYTHOLOGICAL sped along the inside to take an early lead, held on stubbornly until the final sixteenth and weakened. GAME DAME passed tiring horses. COTTON BUD lost ground. OUR JAN, a forward factor until the final quarter mile, went very wide on the final turn and was eliminated. STAKEPOINT showed speed for a half mile and retired. CARESS was outrun. PAMJON quit. CUMBERLAND assumed command soon after the start, increased the lead with ease and was not in danger. YEARN, close up while forcing the pace, held on tenaciously although no match for the winner. CUE PASSE went evenly. TRANSMUER improved position steadily. SHADRAB, in close quarters, was unable to better position when clear. WELLFLEET broke slowly, was a trailer until the final quarter mile and closed stoutly in the late stages. GLAMORAMA saved ground entering the stretch but failed to menace. BUTTERFIELD was under urging early and showed nothing. BIG JOB was never prominent. GREEK SON was forced to lose ground on the outside. CRYSTAL BOUND flashed brief speed and stopped. MY RUTHIE drew clear soon after the start, dominated the pace until the final sixteenth and weakened slightly. LADY FINN rallied to engage the leader after a half mile and faltered. TENURE, forwardiy placed from the start, responded when put to pressure, overtook BROWNSKIN inside the final furlong and steadily drew out BROWNSKIN showed good speed from the break, opened a clear advantage along the inside, shortened stride in. the late stages and weakened. FIREY RED, outrun to the final quarter mile, came through along the inside with a belated rush. UNCLE JAY held on gamely after failing to overtake the leader. WHITSUNTIDE went evenly. XIPPI PIGEON caught tiring .horses. BOLD BOLO rallied mildly to loom as a threat, was forced to lose ground and weakened. BROTHER MARCH weakened. KLIMIE flattened out.
