Heard, Jr.; bred by Ernst Farm. IN GATE-5:44. OFF AT 5:441 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. JOHN KAPLAN broke tardily, was smartly handled while improving his position gradually, moved inside the two leaders while rallying through the stretch and wore down SIR STAKE. The latter was rushed to the early lead, set the pace under rating to the stretch, . drifted out badly and just missed. He was disqualified for having forced IFORU very wide. The latter was always formidable, engaged the leader entering the stretch and failed to again threaten after being forced wide. NORAS WATCH lacked the needed rally. DYNAMITE B raced well in the late stages. COLLISION was impeded through the stretch. PRINCE NACHTAN quit.
