MONEY BROKER, away slowly and outrun to the H last quarter mile, was sent to the middle of the track for the drive and, responding to strong handling, wore down the leaders and appeared ready to draw clear at the finish, despite his rider losing the whip at the break. FAIR PILOT, a sharp factor from the start, reached the lead between calls during the stretch run, but was unable to hold the winner. SUN TAN GAL went to the front early, set the pace to the final. furlong, then 1 faltered. SECOND AVENUE made a bold bid when sent up on the outside entering the stretch, then weakened. H GREATEST, on the outside throughout, was unable to reach serious contention. TRIUMPHANT could not keep up after showing early speed.. AVION had no excuse. PHIL D. was never prominent and had no mishap. STOP GAP was far back throughout HEART FLASH had brief speed, but failed to stay. Scratched 186932 Princess Trace, 106. Overweight Greatest, 2 pounds. J.UCKY NED saved ground throughout, but tired during the drive. HI BOB was unable to better his position when set down for the drive. GRANDAD lacked early foot and was never a serious threat. SO FAIR was outrun and had no excuse. NITRO FIRE began sluggishly. JOFOURTH could not keep up after showing early speed. RED RIVER raced wide. NORTH PENNANT was through early. LA MOTHE lacked early speed. JACKIE S IDOL raced well to the final furlong, then weakened. MIST-O-BLUE could not keep up. DARK NED tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. BELLANOCH had early speed, but failed to stay. DARK NED was through early. GOLD LEAF showed nothing. BLENDID MUSIC dropped far back after starting alertly.
