Ohio Notes THISTLEDOWN, Warrensville, Ohio, June 2. Richard A. Connell, president of Hazel Park, was among those present at the opening of ThistleDown on Tuesday. Connell plans to remain for Wednesdays program and will then- depart for his Detroit home. Mr. and Mrs. Al Shugar hes a member of the Maryland Racing Commission were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pondfield at the opening of ThistleDown on Tuesday. Mrs. Shugar plans to remain for the remainder of the week. Jockey Ralph Borgemenke took an early lead in the jockey standings by riding a double on the first program. The youthful saddle star scored on Tio Tito in the seventh race and then came back to account for the nightcap while astride Play Request.
